MUC group has successfully developed and deployed following applications:
1. Medicine for Disaster: Mobile application providing details about medicine to be taken during any disaster including its dosage, side effects etc. Content for this app was provided by our collaborator Prof. Roy Chaudhury at AHERF. The application was developed by Atul Goyal (UG, 2012) and is availble for download at Google Play
2. mBackup: Mobile application for backing up resources on the mobile phone on the cloud (currently using Dropbox account on the cloud and the mobile app is available for Android). The application was developed as B.Tech. project by Atul Goyal (UG, 2012) and is available for download at Google Play
3. Blood Bank (OpenMRS): Enhanced a Blood Bank module for the open source openMRS. Developed by Apurv Mehra and Sanchit Sharma (UG, 2013), in collaboration with our NGO collaborators, Health Information Systems Programme (HISP). Work for this module was done as Independent Project in Monsoon Semester, 2011. The module is currently live in the District Hospital in Shimla and is being replicated at other hospitals across the state.
4. CVDMagic: Developed a CVDMagic application for early detection of Cardio-Vascular Disease based on previously proposed studies using non-laboratory based tests. The application was developed within the Sana Framework (developed by Sana group at MIT - http://www.sanamobile.org) and deployed in rural areas of Punjab with Electronic Health Point (EHP) who are setting up rural clinics in that state. The healthcare worker from EHP collected data for about 190 people using the application and we are in the process of analyzing the collected data and working on a paper for ICTD 2012
5. Disha route planner: Developed as an internship project and later on modified to include extensive database from the industrial partner – DIMTS, this application provides the user with route information for going between any two places in Delhi using public transport. The application is currently hosted and maintained by our industrial partner – Delhi Integrated Multi-modal Transportation Systems (DIMTS) athttp://184.108.40.206/Disha/index.php
6. RightFare Auto Fare Application: Developed as an internship project, the application takes two locations in Delhi as input over SMS and calculates the approximate auto fare between the two given locations. The application also returns the list of landmarks that will come on the way. The service is supposed to help people knowing the shortest possible route between any two locations and avoid being overcharged. Our industrial collaborator, a startup called Ideophone (The name by Ideophone is changed to Autofare http://www.ideophone.in/products/sms/) has now further extended the service with some additional features including support for multiple cities by. 7. Sana Mobile Healthcare for Symbian Platform: Previously Sana platform was available only for Android platform. Symbian is the most popular platform in India. We have ported Sana to Symbian.
8. SMS Feedback Utility: Developed an application that collects feedback from users via SMS. The application can collate feedback per survey and create a report at the end of the survey about feedback. Each feedback is a rating from 1 to 5. We are planning to use the application to survey quality of lectures and talks.
9. IVR for IIIT-Delhi Admission Process: Developed an IVR application to give information about BTech admission and results. Any user can call a telephone number and retrieve information. The user can also record a question, which the administrator at the backend can answer in an offline manner. The user can callback to retrieve the answer.
10.SMSAssassin: Developed SMSAssassin application for mobile phone to detect SMS spam messages. The application is build for Symbian mobile phones and we are in process of building the same application for Android based devices.
